I've heard that you only need 17 minutes of cardio a day for the best possible heart and lung health, and that you need to exercise practically every muscle in your body via Resistance training to stay completely healthy. But exactly what is best for overall health, and how much do you need to maximize life expectancy?

Every single body has different needs. In order to maximize life expectancy, you need to live in accordance with what YOUR body needs. In order to find out, you need to learn to listen to yourself. When you exercise, does it feel good? does it feel bad? is there a particular exercise that you love / hate? Do the things that feel good to you. And, please, don't say that it feels good to eat a pile of french fries. No one's body actually feels good (your brain might feel good from a dopamine kick, but your body feels weighed down and slow)
