Question: Question on contact lens longevity?

I dropped one of my monthly contact lenses (which i had just bought and worn for a day) and spent about an hour frantically searching for it. With no luck in my search i decided to just open one of my other contacts and write off the lost one. Ironically i found it 20min after i had opened the new one and now i am wondering. Can i store the offending contact in its original solution and save it for when the month is up on the new contact i have opened? Or would it be better to just alternate the contacts ( i have specialist contacts for each eye, so now i have two open for one eye) and wear them each for month but spread out over 2 months? Im still new at contacts and sorry about the wordy question :) Anyway! thank you for any and all help!

If the lens dried out before you found it best thing to do is discard it. If its still in ok condition, it will be good for about 30 days after opening but refresh the storage fluid at least once a week. But honestly, its probably best to discard it.
