Some of the most common herbs & biochemic tissue salts used for tinnitus are • Ginkgo Biloba is excellent for a number of cerebral and circulatory disorders. It is probably the most widely-used herb for tinnitus and many sufferers swear by this natural ingredient. • Rosemary dilates and strengthens blood vessels and is an excellent circulation tonic. Rosemary is particularly useful for tinnitus that is caused or worsened by high blood pressure and other circulatory conditions. • Avena Sativa is effective in reducing high cholesterol levels which can contribute to circulatory problems which cause tinnitus. • Wild Hyssop s also useful in reducing pain and inflammation. • Salicylic Ac. (30C) is indicated for tinnitus with loud roaring or ringing sounds, which may be accompanied by deafness or vertigo. This remedy is particularly useful in people whose symptoms began with a bout of flu, Meniere’s disease or long-term use of aspirin. • Ferrum phosphoricum (Ferrum phos. D6) is a homeopathic biochemic tissue salt which supports the absorption of iron in the body. The protective myelin sheath which surrounds all nerve tissue needs iron to supply this vital nutrient to the nerve cells it encases. Regular use of Ferrum phos. can help to prevent dizziness, headaches and restlessness and is of great benefit for those who tend to feel irritable, tense and tired. • Magnesium phosphate (Mag. phos. D6) well-known as a homeopathic painkiller, Mag. phos. is also of great benefit to the health of the nerves. It acts as a natural anti-spasmodic and a nerve and muscle relaxant and is also frequently recommended for stress headaches. Hope all this helps Good Luck! No. But watch your caffeine intake, probably causing tinnitus and excitation of cilia. images.google.com/ imgres?imgurl= vater.com/ education/ healthbeat/ Hearing/ EarDiagram.jpg &imgrefurl= vater.com/ education/ healthbeat/ Hearing/ index.cfm &usg= __a4vdRdJkP6eZ6iaN2zLYOuR93IE= &h= 270 &w= 442 &sz= 40 &hl= en &start= 4 &um= 1 &itbs= 1 &tbnid= N4OImgzaZZnXWM: &tbnh= 78 &tbnw= 127 &prev= / images%3Fq%3Dcilia%2Bear%26hl%3Den%26rlz%3D1I7DACA_en-GB%26sa%3DX%26um%3D1

Quinine can cause ringing in the years. Tonic water mixers contain it.

Gingko is used to treat ringing in the ears in the elderly, you may try it for a while and see if it helps. Many times the cause is due to misaligned bite that presses against the nerves in the ear, I think it is called TMJ and a dentist can correct it.

Ginkgo, and herbs that assist with inflammation (as some think it's related to nerve irritation) Boswellia and Tumeric ...also an 'ear' formula I've heard help others is a product called Prime Hearing Formula

I had a customer come into my health food store a couple of years ago and ask for lipoflavonoids for tinitus or ringing of the ears. He had been using it for over a year with complete success. I then recommended it to several customers over the next few months. Some had success and others didn't, so it doesn't work for everyone. It might be worth a try if you're running out of options. I wasn't familiar with the herbal remedies suggested by the other contributors but I'll definitely add those to my list. It's always good to learn something new...thanks! I've also talked to some folks that had great success with acupuncture or EFT. Good luck and be well.
