I need some advice on herbal remedies.....?
A male I know has been on blood pressure pills for about six months and is now having some E.D. problems.....if he doesn't take them he can't get an erection and if he does it is hard for him to. Are there some herbal remedies or vitamins he can take ....honestly it is hard to afford Viagra or stuff like that at like $10 a pill. For people living in jurisdictions where herbalism is legal I m a medical herbalist, and like many others of my profession i find it almost impossible to get people to consult me. As you re probably aware, we train fulltime for several years to do this work and it s most disheartening that we can t help more people to maintain or improve their health. Is there a reason why you prefer to buy possibly inappropriate and poor quality herbs at the enormous markups charged by the vendors to the individual attention and holistic approach taken by herbalists? We are cheaper than health food shops and so forth, and we re also in danger of becoming extinct as a profession.Leaving aside any bias i may have introduced by this preamble, what is stopping those of you who believe in herbal medicine from consulting a herbalist?Natpractitioner, yes, i have indeed tried that, on the grounds that ultimately it s a better idea for people to maintain their own health rather than have someone else do it for them, and because the corollary of not going to a practitioner is for them to know enough, and there was very little interest. Those who come, like my clients, have given very good feedback, as they have to talks i have given, but actually getting people to come is almost impossible.I m also aware of the insurance issue, and that s particularly mystifying.Incidentally, if any alternative therapists or herbalists are interested, i ve written a report on this for the regional group of my professional body, describing what i ve tried, what s failed and my thoughts on that i say " what s failed" because nothing has actually succeeded.
