I just want to know the longevity of my life. Can I get 3 4 pacemakers over my lifetime..Im 50 years old.

Smoking and longevity?
Almost 50 % of the men in Japan smoke and their life expectancy is almost 80. They live almost five years longer than American men. The oldest person to ever live was also a smoker. There has been evidence that smoking causes cancer and it reduces your longevity. Why is it that the Japanese live long even though a good portion of their population smokes? Does it have to do with diet?

Is there a link between high altitudes and longevity?
There is a proven link between longevity and colder climates, like Iceland, however, is there also a link between high altitudes and longevity?I know high altitudes also have cold climates in some cases, however, does altitude have an effect of it's own?

Is my premise valid or invalid in the area of health, training and longevity?
2 10 2010 6 10 31 PMI have a premise that I would appreciate one of you pendants out there to help me parse. Whether. My premise is valid or invalid. The parameters are 1.Participants are varied in age. Mostly the baby boomers. Like me at 64 years old. There are a good proportions of people that are in their mid 60 s. There are some 70 people in the class also...2.For at least a year Tuesday, Thursday and Friday s classes were 55 minutes long.Premise In reference to mat Pilate s on Tuesday and Thursday having both days 45 minute classes Then having a mat Pilate s class on Friday with a duration of 60 minutesUnderstanding the concept that increasing your workout on the third class by 15 minutesTaking each class of 45 minutes twice a week giving them a value of 3Taking the two classes a value of 3 ... taking each 15 minute increment as a value of 1 equals 3Then taking one class and giving it a value of 4. That is 4 increments of 15 minutes. It is an irresponsible to up your reps to the value of 4 after the 2 other classes having a value of 3I believe the increase of exertion of 15 minutes is about 18 20 % at least. That s without taking the varied ages and conditions into consideration. Such as heart and back, general conditions that older folks get. As I got older, I find the body isn t as resilient as it used to be. The only way I even realized this premise is I was sore after the 60 minute class.I believe that increase is too much and irresponsible thinking and training. When you increase the number of reps, and or increase the time duration of the third class. I believe it is not gradual and well thought out. It's like doing 2 sets of 10 twice a week of inverted sit ups. Then during the same week doing 4 sets of 10 of inverted sit upsI believe that's not responsible training for health and longevityTake this exercise as one man s opinion.Have at it

Is the risk of unprotected oral sex(HIV,ect) increase by the longevity of the act?
what i mean is, my partner quickly put on a condom after a few secs of unprotected oral sex...should i be worried or concerned?

Is it true that the way to longevity is by eating raw foods. a live food diet?
apparently on live fods you dont have to contribute enzymes from your body because live food has its own enzymes to start and end the digestive process. it does get kinda boring though. like all i can ever seem to eat on a live food diet is bananas and apples i hate avocados , i also have nuts which i find extremely boring and mundane to eat, and seeds boringggggg you need to be a special kinda person to sustain a live food diet for months lol.

I have a severely damaged heart, plus only a partial lung. What is my longevity prognosis. I am 64?
I lost part of my left lung to cancer a few years ago. I just had to have a pacemaker placed and I have CO PD.

What is the optimal amount of exercise for overall health, and longevity?
I've heard that you only need 17 minutes of cardio a day for the best possible heart and lung health, and that you need to exercise practically every muscle in your body via Resistance training to stay completely healthy. But exactly what is best for overall health, and how much do you need to maximize life expectancy?

What are some effects that medical technology has on longevity?

Family and Longevity?
My family doesn't live long.My Dad broke all records by making it to 65 before he had a stroke. My 2 uncles died at 49 and 51. Mom and grandmothers all died by the time they were 55 due to the breast cancer gene in my family. My 2 cousins died at 45 and 55 to cancer.I don't drink, I don't smoke. I am overweight but I carry it well. I am deaf, but that's neither here nor there.I try to watch my diet, no fried foods, no saturated fats where I can help it.I am 53 years old. Are there any tests I can have done to give me a comprehensive idea of my overall health?
