ALL ORGANS SHRINK DUE TO DEPLETION IN
HGH UTILIZATION (return
to top)
As we age all of our organs shrink such as the heart, lungs, brain,
liver, kidneys, skin, bone and so on and this is largely due to
a depletion in the utilization of human growth hormone (HGH).
Starting at age 21 to 31 Human Growth Hormone (HGH) begins to
decline at about 14 percent each decade so that it is reduced
by half by the age of sixty. We produce about 500 micrograms at
20 and by age 80 only 20 micrograms. The pituitary gland produces
HGH more than any other hormone. Pituitary cells also called somatotrophin
make HGH which is also known as somatotrophin. This is released
into the blood for only a few minutes and then taken up into the
liver where it is converted into growth factors. The most important
of these is Insulin Growth Factor One (IGF-1). It is IGF-1 that
is used as a measurement rather than HGH itself as to how much
HGH is being secreted by the body and it is IGF-1 that is most
directly responsible for the benefits mentioned on this site.
NOT AMOUNT OF HGH BUT THE relEASE AND
RECEPTION OF HGH (return
to top)
Studies have shown that the aging pituitary somatotrophe cell
is still able to release as much GH as the young cell if it is
properly stimulated. This means the decline in HGH is not in producing
it but in releasing it to be used. Something happens in the feedback
between IGF-1 in the liver and hypothalamus gland which sends
messages from the outside world by means of light through the
eye and so on to the pituitary gland to regulate its release and
the release of many other glands in the body. Normally a decline
in IGF-1 tells the hypothalamus to tell the pituitary gland to
make more HGH. Research shows that somatostatin which is a natural
inhibitor of HGH increases with age and that has been verified
in old rats which produced as much HGH as young rats when somatostatin
was knocked out. Research has also shown that growth hormone releasing
hormone (GHRH) which stimulates the release of HGH becomes less
responsive to feedback signals which means it is likely that both
things are happening. Not only does the amount of HGH decline
with age but our tissues fail to respond to HGH that is there
so that aging can be viewed as a disease of growth hormone resistance
similar to the way type 2 diabetes is a disease of insulin resistance.
All of this does not mean that when HGH declines with age, or
somatostatin increases, or receptors become less receptive that
these obstacles cannot be overcome. Tests show that administration
of HGH somehow overcomes all of these things.
1000'S OF STUDIES SHOW HGH BENEFITS
ARE EXTENSIVE (return
to top)
On July 5, 1990, the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine
published a clinical study about 12 men ages 61 to 81 who
had flabby frail and fat-bulging bodies who had through the injections
of synthetic HGH turned their bodies into their younger former
self by 10 to 20 years. In the this conservative medical journal
which rarely uses such descriptions, Daniel Rudman, M.D., and
his colleagues at the Medical College of Wisconsin wrote: "The
effects of six months of human growth hormone on lean body mass
and adipose-tissue mass were equivalent in magnitude to the changes
incurred during 10 to 20 years of aging." Following up on
this work Rudman gave HGH to 26 elderly men which had re grown
livers, spleens, and muscles that had shrunken with age back to
their youthful sizes. Also, there was improved muscular strength
which can make the difference between being handicapped to not
being able to walk and being able and to not being able to feed
ones self and being able or in other words between being dependent
and and being independent. This landmark discovery was a gate
bursting breakthrough that has now resulted in thousands of studies
in the world of medical literature documenting the benefits of
HGH. The rejuvenating effects of HGH are full covering both form,
function, anatomy, physiology, body, and mind. It has even been
shown to enliven and change ones personality to being more out
going after 3 to 6 months.
